Our Edo

Who we are

Where we are

Where we are going

Long before the advent of mechanical equipment,

our forefathers built the
Great Benin Moats

one of mankind's greatest earthworks, showcasing immense ingenuity and artistry. Constructed without modern machinery, it reflects the hard work and advanced knowledge of our ancestors in engineering, organization, arts, culture, trade, and military strength. Before streetlights, our well-planned streets were lit by oil palm kernel lamp. Our heritage is one of profound creativity and indomitable will, building one of Africa's greatest civilizations.

This is who we are.

The outgoing administration consolidated the previous reforms and has

transformed many aspects
of Edo State

While the previous administration focused on educational infrastructure, the current administration focused on improving the content and quality of education, completely overhauling the learning experience for school children and teachers across Edo State. Their Edo Basic Education Sector Transformation (EdoBEST) program has revamped the education sector, particularly at the primary and secondary levels, leading Edo to consistently rank between second and third place for basic education in Nigeria, up from 28th a few years ago. The healthcare sector has also seen significant improvements with the overhaul of Primary Healthcare Centers, the reconstruction and accreditation of the Edo School of Nursing, Science and Midwifery, telemedicine partnerships with the Diaspora, and the launch of the Edo State Health Insurance Scheme. These initiatives have greatly enhanced access to affordable healthcare for many previously excluded residents.

This is where we are.

I see a pathway to prosperity
for our people and our state.

I see a path to lifting the highest number of people into prosperity through the most comprehensive social welfare program ever witnessed in South-South Nigeria. I see a path to making Edo State the safest place to live and work, where everyone has access to quality, affordable healthcare. I see a path to educating primary and secondary school children, preparing them for the world of work so they become sought-after assets by employers globally. I see a path to funding and building road networks, electricity, and other commercial infrastructure that will open up our state, create jobs for our youth, and transition our economy to a first-world level. I see a path to uniting Edo, where we set aside our differences and work together to build the most progressive, prosperous state in Nigeria. I see a path where the regeneration of Nigeria begins right here in Edo, the heartbeat of the nation.

This is where we are going.
